Racing the rain in Elizabethtown, PA | Caroline + Luke Engaged
Sometimes there is rain in the forecast, and we go for it anyway. This time of year, in mid-November can be tough. Rescheduling just means higher chances for colder and colder temps. It’s a rainy season though…
A Fall Mount Gretna, PA Engagement Session | Sydney + Nick
It was chilly this day and the fall foliage that was left…was on the ground for their session. Even so, the sun danced through the trees in a teasing kind of way. It played in Sydney’s hair and competed for attention with Nick. We chased the sunset from location to location as it set making magic everywhere we went.
Summer-like Fall Engagement Session at Fort Hunter Mansion | Kathryn + Brian
We got lucky for this one. It was almost 80 degrees outside for this mid-November engagement session at Fort Hunter Mansion and Park.
A Cathedral Wedding Ceremony Followed by a Fall Reception at Historic Ashland | Abigail + Walter 10.17.20
“You can’t make this stuff up people!” A recurring statement from Abigail throughout their Historic Ashland wedding day and the days, weeks and months preceding the day. Abbie posted jokingly on her pages the day before the wedding that the theme of this wedding had been, “Come hell or high water.” It couldn’t have been more fitting.
A Rainy, Fall Wedding at The Barn at Stoneybrooke | Kerri + Michael 10.16.20
“My dad is going to be my best man,” Mike told me during their engagement session. He explained just how much his dad meant to him. It speaks volumes about Mike himself but also right back at his dad. When Bruce approached the microphone for the best man speech,
Fall in the Hollow | Danielle + Paul Engaged
“We are also planning to bring Luna if that is okay. We don’t have anyone to bring along to help but we have a long leash and she’s pretty well behaved.”
A Fall Engagement Shoot in Lancaster, PA | Erin + Adam
No one wants to reschedule for rain and it becomes an even more difficult decision the further away the drive is for the couple.
Zahra + Bijan’s Backyard Micro-Wedding 10.10.2020
“My favorite daughter is getting married today,” Zahra’s father said to me when I approached him for his first look with her. It was minutes before the ceremony.
Fall at Fort Hunter Mansion | Christina + Andrew Engaged
We rescheduled for Covid-19. We rescheduled for rain. And it was meant to be that we had the most beautiful weather and fall foliage anyone could possibly ask for.
A Fall Wildlife Preserve Engagement Shoot | Anne + Alex
How am I so lucky to meet these amazing people I get to photograph? Sometimes I just have to sit back in awe of my job and who it brings into my life.
A Fall Marsh Creek Engagement Shoot | Christina + Jeff
Her makeup artist bailed on her at 1:00pm…the shoot was at 4:30 pm. Don’t panic, I said.
A Fall Backyard Wedding - New Jersey Style | Kristin + Nicholas 9.26.20
My reaction pulling into the driveway for this backyard, New Jersey wedding reminded me of my husband seeing our wedding venue to the first time:
A Backyard, Micro-Wedding COVID – Style in Perryville, MD | Lauren + Brandon
It was a wrap. I three hours of coverage for Lauren and Brandon’s immediate family, micro-wedding at Brandon’s family home in Perryville, Maryland. Everything went superbly. A few detail photos, then my favorite part…they helped each other get ready (it was the sweetest thing I had never photographed before!), ceremony, husband and wife photos and a quick cake cutting and that was it! I was packing up my bag and heard Brandon’s mom, Julie, call from the kitchen, “Megan! We need you outside for one more photo!”
Goodbye Summer Engagement Shoot at The Barn at Stoneybrooke | Annie + Nicholas
Sometimes even I am like, “Shut up. This is so gorgeous. I can’t even stand it!” Annie and Nick’s The Barn at Stoneybrooke engagement shoot was one of those moments….and processing pretty much every photo as well. I click on the next one…and gasp. Marc asks if everything is okay down there…and I yell up, “OMG these photos!” I can almost hear the eye roll through the floor….and then again minutes later as I click on the next one.
Last Days of Summer at Fort Hunter Mansion | Izzy + Austin Engaged
Izzy and Austin were torn between Fort Hunter Mansion & Park and Wolf’s Hollow. It was a tough call but I advised the former. They were bringing along their adorable pup, Kylo and had an outfit change. I’ll be honest, there is a LOT of walking involved at Wolf’s Hollow and with all the moving parts for them, I just had a feeling Fort Hunter was just the ticket for them.
Branding Shoot for Annie Grace - This Naked Mind | Colorado, Fall 2020
The only thing I love more than shooting weddings is meeting intelligent, kind, driven, culture-changing people like Annie to create visual representations of their messaging together that further the impact of their already powerful words.
A Historic Ashland Micro Wedding Under the Twinkle Lights | Maggie + Brian 9.12.20
Maggie: “At our wedding, he’ll be the one more aggressively dancing.”
Brian: “You’re required to!”
Maggie: “I know I am.”
Me: “I’ll dance with you if you need me to!”
Mauch Chunk Lake Engagement Session | Alyssa + Brian
I’m not usually one to harp on a location. My clients are the focus of my photos. BUT, when the location is as spectacular as the one Alyssa and Brian chose PLUS has sentimental value….I’ll drive 2+ hours to get there without batting an eye.
Lexi’s Graduation Session | The Strunk Family 2020
This beautiful family is very special to me.
They represent all three of my very separate worlds coming together.
A Touch of Autumn | Carly + Sam’s Splendid Wolf’s Hollow County Park Engagement Session
Every shoot is special and different but some just stand out for one reason or another. It’s not always the location or the couple’s particular love story. Sometimes it just IS.
