Last Days of Summer at Fort Hunter Mansion | Izzy + Austin Engaged

Izzy + Autisn Engaged-48.jpg

Izzy and Austin were torn between Fort Hunter Mansion & Park and Wolf’s Hollow. It was a tough call but I advised the former. They were bringing along their adorable pup, Kylo and had an outfit change. I’ll be honest, there is a LOT of walking involved at Wolf’s Hollow and with all the moving parts for them, I just had a feeling Fort Hunter was just the ticket for them.

When I arrived early, I questioned that feeling. There were people everywhere and just when I thought I had the perfect shooting plan, a wedding party arrived to shoot in just the spot I wanted to start in…must have been a good photographer! That change of plans forced me to look further and really search for a not so obvious spot at this public park…and I found it. We made absolute MAGIC down by the Susquehanna River by following an overgrown, rocky path down to an area that is normally underwater…and it was breathtaking.

Izzy and Austin will be married almost exactly a year from now at Historic Ashland in Wrightsville, PA and I can’t wait to see them again. I hear I know the maid of honor too (Hi Kelsey!!!!)!!!! I can’t wait to see everyone and meet all the new people. I love how my family keeps growing and growing every year. I feel so very blessed to serve you all.

Izzy and Austin, I hope you LOVE this sample of my favorite photos from your GORGEOUS engagement session at Fort Hunter Mansion and Park. Isaac and I had a blast with you both. The champagne toast was amazing…..good thinking! And, because I know how hard it is to wait for the full gallery, there are some surprises in your inbox RIGHT NOW, so go check!!! XO - Megan
