A Fall Mount Gretna, PA Engagement Session | Sydney + Nick

Sydney + Nick Engaged-14.jpg

Their lives are a beautiful mesh of complicated. Who’s aren’t these days. These two lit up my camera for their fall Mount Gretna, PA engagement session last weekend and I wasn’t mad about it. I’ve known Sydney for years. Her brother played baseball and was friends with my son Isaac. The good big sister that she is, I actually got to know her going to the games and chatting with her mom. Sydney modeled for me with her newborn baby, Adeline, when she was first born to give me some practice when I was a newer photographer. And, all things lovely that Sydney is, she was perfection on Nick’s arm on this day. It was chilly this day and the fall foliage that was left…was on the ground for their session. Even so, the sun danced through the trees in a teasing kind of way. It played in Sydney’s hair and competed for attention with Nick. We chased the sunset from location to location as it set making magic everywhere we went.

Nick is a military guy. He reminds me of the south. He’s all smiles and gentlemanly chivalry with a heap of personality and humor. We rescheduled their session at least twice. I’ll be honest, with all the rescheduling happening this year I have lost track. I know we rescheduled for COVID and then again when Nick was called up to help with events a few months ago. They just rolled with it and when it came time for this session, they put their trust in me for their location choice as well. I love my laid-back clients.

Sydney and Nick will be married at The Mill at Manor Falls in August 2021 and I can’t wait to see everyone. I may actually know a few people at their wedding!

Sydney and Nick, thanks for trusting me with this session. It was wonderful to see you two again and I hope you LOVE your photos as much as I do. And, because I know how hard it is to wait, there is something waiting for you in your inbox right now!!! XO - Megan
