A Backyard, Micro-Wedding COVID – Style in Perryville, MD | Lauren + Brandon
It was a wrap. I three hours of coverage for Lauren and Brandon’s immediate family, micro-wedding at Brandon’s family home in Perryville, Maryland. Everything went superbly. A few detail photos, then my favorite part…they helped each other get ready (it was the sweetest thing I had never photographed before!), ceremony, husband and wife photos and a quick cake cutting and that was it! I was packing up my bag and heard Brandon’s mom, Julie, call from the kitchen, “Megan! We need you outside for one more photo!”
Of course! I grabbed the essential gear for one more shot and hustled out to meet them. When I stepped out to the deck and looked, I saw Lauren and Brandon standing at their ceremony site. I had already photographed them there….I was confused. Then Julie said, “Okay, take off that mask, show me how to use this fancy camera of yours and hop on in!” They wanted a photo with ME! 😭😭😭😭😭😭
That just goes tot show what kind of amazing people they all are. I love them to pieces and I’m SO glad I get to do this one more time with them next year! Same date, next year. I love that they were able to do that! Yes, COVID sucks but it makes me so happy to have these very special memories with these very special couples for the rest of my life.
When I tell my grandkids about the global pandemic of 2020, I will get to whip out pictures of these beautiful people and tell them their stories along with our own personal one and I LOVE that.
Lauren and Brandon, you did so well with everything you had to work with. It was a lovely day surrounded by lovely people. Thank you for making it a priority to have me there capturing it for you.
