A Summer Engagement Session at Conestoga House and Gardens | Katie + Michael | 9-4-2021

“Can you dance?” I asked almost poking fun as we got loosened up in the “checkered floor” room at Conestoga House and Gardens. Assessing the surroundings, I needed to use a few different lenses in the oddly shaped room at this lovely Lancaster, PA wedding venue and this question bought me a little time as I basically moved in. I placed three different lens on the window sill ready to “quick switch” for different sets of photos. What I wasn’t ready for was for them to say, “yes!”

“Well, then…go for it!” As Katie and Michael practiced their formal dance moves, I snapped away giving minimal instruction (unlike the rest of the shoot where I shout direction almost continuously). When I needed to change a lens, they started joking around with a saucy number snapping their fingers, laughing and playing…perfect. I was able to quickly grab that moment too.

I swear they're not models. I asked because…well, you’ll see.

We honestly had so much fun. Between the fun little in-between moments and the posed photos, they covered it all. Romantic, silly, saucy….they are the whole package and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding day next July at Cameron Estate Inn! If their friends and the rest of their family (Hi Audrey!) are anything like them, we are going to have so much fun on their wedding day. I can’t wait to meet everyone!

Katie and Michael, wow. Just…WOW. You two BROUGHT IT to your session. Not only did you select an amazing venue for your shoot but your outfit selections were so perfect for you AND the space. 1,000% knocked it out of the park. I will say, there are serious benefits to having a morning session….I could not stop working on them all day so you will have your full gallery very soon.
