Blending cultures at a wedding is HARD. For Erica and Jhordan, it meant not only different traditions but also a bilingual DJ! The Latin music would play and Jhordan’s whole family would get out there, grandmas and all. And they ALL knew the songs and dances to go with each one. Then the typical American music would come on and there would be a different crowd on the floor. The transitions seamless and everyone had fun.

At some point I had to pull Erica to the side to ask about the hats….I’ve seen glow sticks and a few other party extras come out at the end of the night but nothing like this. Erica told me it is a Peruvian tradition at big celebrations like weddings to wear silly hats. The hats were even made in Peru! They symbolize fun and they ALL had fun with it. I’ll be honest, I kinda wanted to wear one!

It’s been a rainy season and a rainy week at that so it was only fitting that it rained on their ceremony. It’s good luck, right?! But, all-in-all the day was perfect for Erica and Jhordan and they are finally wed. The star of the ceremony before Erica was reveled….their adorable dog Cami who actually made it all the way down the aisle to her Poppa with no trouble at all. She then sat by his feet to wait for Momma to join them. You must see the pictures!

Erica and Jhordan, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be part of this most special of days for you and your families. Jhordan, you must tell your mom for me just how amazing the food was. And, if you ever need an extra guest for dinner…I’m free! I hope you LOVE this little sample of photos from your best day ever.
