A Summer Wolf’s Hollow County Park Engagement Session | Alicia + Paul | 6-27-2021
After giving Alicia lengthy instruction on a pose we were working on for their session at Wolf’s Hollow County Park, I joked as I often do to Paul about it being all about the girl. He laughed generously but then later admitted that while everyone says that wedding planning is all about the bride, he actually wants to have a part in the planning process too….It’s his wedding day too! And, I couldn’t agree more.
Even though I joke on sessions sometime to get a reaction for the photos and to create a fun mood and atmosphere for the session, sometimes it’s all just in good fun and this was one of those times. You might be surprised by how many of my clients’ primary contact is the groom….seriously! Maybe the grooms can sense how I include them in the process and care about their part in the day or maybe I just get lucky to have so many who are involved. I don’t know. But, I do love it.
When I see a couple working together to plan their day it shows me that they are already taking a team approach to life from the very beginning and it’s encouraging.
Alicia and Paul put a great deal of effort into planning and preparing for their amazing session on Sunday and it certainly shows. From their outfits to their location choice, everything was picture perfect. They even agreed to climb (it felt like) a mountain in 90 degree weather to get to the best light…and I love them for it!
They will be married at The Barn at Stoneybrooke in September, 2022 and I can’t wait to meet all their friends and family. If they are half as amazing as they are, we’re going to have a blast together.
Alicia and Paul, what fun I had with you two and Jen! It was amazing to finally meet you and have the opportunity to make some magic together. I hope you love this little sample of my favorites from your sunny Wolf’s Hollow County Park session. And, because I know how hard it is to wait, there will be a surprise in your inbox later today!
