2020 in the Rearview
I’ve been quiet the past few days. It hasn’t really been on purpose but I’ve allowed myself to slip into full family mode over the holiday. We all needed it.
I loosened my grip.
I let go of control.
I allowed myself a break.
I haven’t written a blog or posted anything that wasn’t already cued up and ready to hit publish on for over a week. I haven’t picked up my camera except to take a few pictures of us at Longwood Gardens for Christmas Eve. My house is tidy and the dishes are done. Candles are lit. It feels calm. It feels like my home again.
In the calm, I’ve had a chance to allow the gratitude for this year to wash over me. We have all been through so much. Through the pain, we’ve grown as a worldwide community. For that, I am grateful.
There’s always a sliver lining. Mine was my family time and the opportunity to re-evaluate my goals and priorities. To have the time to sit with that was such a gift. It was a year to reconnect with old friends…Zoom has changed everything. It was a year to develop a solid meditation practice. And, it was a year of deeper connections with my clients as we navigated uncharted waters together.
When anyone asks me about 2020 with a knowing look of assumption that I almost lost my business through all the mandates, cancellations and re-schedules; It is easy to nod my head and go along with it because it did feel that way during quarantine and when email after email came in to reschedule. But that was not the reality of this year. When it was all said and done, I hustled my tush off to make up for it all and ended up with a truly full year. Full of love. Full of life. And, full of doing what I love to do….serving my clients.
The truth is in the numbers:

That’s a lot to be grateful for!

Marc and I are continually grateful for each and every one of you. It is because of your support that we are able to have the lives we cherish and parent our kids the way we have always dreamed.
Cheers to 2021! May this year bring relief and answers to our world.
Happy New Year.
