Sara + Kyle’s Misty Engagement Session
The forecast changed 5,343 times that morning. I dragged my family out of bed to go check it out that morning and just when we finally decided to move the session up due to the possibility of rain, it shifted again. Sara was having her hair and makeup done by the amazing Nikki D and the weather looked worse for the next day so that was that. I threw the umbrellas in the car and we went for it. Sara and Kyle met me and followed me to a new spot I had stumbled across a few weeks prior and trusted me to hike up a rocky incline to their engagement session location. It wasn’t really a new spot for me personally, I had been to that spot many times a child, hiking with my dad but hadn’t gone to that particular spot for many, many years. Seeing it fresh with photographer’s eyes, was so fun. And, it was everything I had hoped for.
Sara and Kyle looked amazing, were amazing and I just love them to pieces. We took photos here. We took photos there and never came across a single other person the whole time. It was a neat experience. Such an intimate, surreal time with them. Sara’s amazing skirt really made the photos go from wonderful to epic. I can’t wait to photograph their Lauxmont Farms wedding next August. We share a love of horses so the venue is perfect. I have a feeling everything about their day is going to be that little bit extra to make it an epic day just like their engagement session.
Sara and Kyle, what can I say. You nailed your engagement session. Thank you for trusting me with so many uncertain parts of your session. I am obsessed with your entire session from the slightly moodier first set to the ethereal open field set. We are going to have so much fun getting ready for and on your wedding day. Please enjoy this sample of my favorites from your misty engagement session. Your full gallery will be in your inbox in a few days. Also, go check your email right now for a few surprises. 😉😘
