Laura + Ben’s Historic Shady Lane Engagement Session

Laura-Ben-1.jpg

Laura headed into the Cottage to change into her first outfit while I pulled Ben outside to give him the rundown on things he should keep in mind. Before I could even get a word out he asked me, “What can I do to make this go perfectly? I just want so much to do well for her.” At a bare minimum Ben is chivalrous. The rest of the time he is smart, loving, kind, sweet, and he adores his fiancé. He is a dream guy and Laura has his heart 100%.Their shoot was amazing. We had beautiful weather. There truly isn’t a bad spot to shoot at Historic Shady Lane. The staff made us feel welcome and special during our entire time there. I really cannot wait for the wedding day in July. I may have tripped and fallen while shooting for the first time ever but the scraped leg was worth the amazing shot I got from my vantage point on the ground in the ivy. (I do not normally lay on the ground to shoot!)

Laura and Ben, I am so happy to be your wedding photographer. I love your taste. I love your style. And, I love how you love each other. It’s inspiring to see you two together. If your friends and family are even half as wonderful as you two, I am going to have SO much fun with you all in July. I’m so happy we live right down the street from each other so that it will be easy to stay in touch too! How fun! While the countdown commences to your big day please enjoy a few of my favorites from your engagement session on Tuesday. Your full gallery will be along soon.
