A Steamy Susquehannock engagement Session | Barb + David | 8-12-2021

“If it’s a girl, I hope I have a relationship with her like you have with your girls.”

I said these words to Barb at the end of her family shoot with her three beautiful girls four years ago. It was the day before I found out Rita was a girl. Softened by the experience of witnessing the special bond between Barb and her girls, I wept tears of joy in the room when the ultrasound tech said those words, I thought I would never hear after 3 boys… “It’s a girl!”

Being such an amazing mom comes with a great deal of stress and worry. It’s really neat to see the way David sees and understands that in Barb in a way that is admiring and so loving. He and I wanted their engagement session to be stress free for Barb and….fun! Fun it was! Barb has the best laugh and David is an expert in bringing it out. These two are like peanut butter and jelly and I’m so happy they found each other.

We laughed and they cuddled their way through their 99 degree summer engagement session and I swear they never broke a sweat! It really was something! They chose a spot that is special to them. They visited Susquehannock State Park after one of their first few dates and have been going back regularly to watch the sun set ever since. I wish it was closer or I would go regularly myself to journal, watch the birds soar and listen to the water rushing below.

Barb and David will be married next month at Osbornia Farm in Quarryville, PA and I cannot wait to do this all over again so soon with them and the ones they love most. I can’t wait to see the girls again too! David tells me I’m going to get along really well with his family and I can’t wait to meet them.
