A Penn Oaks Golf Club Quinceañera to Remember
Leo held the microphone firmly. He spoke into it with confidence and cadence.
There were no notes. — He spoke from the heart.
He thanked everyone for coming. Guests had come from all over the world — Spain…Uruguay — and, of course, he didn’t leave out thanks to his beautiful wife, Veronica. Then, he turned his attention to his newly 15-year-old daughter, “Bella, you may think that you owe us something — but you don’t. You are our gift.” The crowd broke into applause. — Belle broke into tears.
Penn Oaks Golf Club was decked out to the nines for Bella’s Quinceañera on Saturday. The spring blooms were bursting to life all around us making for the most beautiful backdrop for Isabella’s portraits. Butterflies and spring pink were present throughout the event as the birds chirped and the music boomed in celebration of this beautiful girl’s coming of age.
Bella, thank you for choosing me to be the one to capture your special day. As your parents said, it may have seemed like this day would never come. But, it did. And, it was amazing. It’s obvious your parents are so very proud of you. You are so loved and appreciated. I can only hope my daughter feels as special on her 15th birthday in 10 years as you did on yours.
