All the things…a Fun Engagement Session with Nadine & Zack | 8/15/2021
It’s complicated…
But so simple at the same time….
If you follow me, chances are you may know Nadine from Lancaster Flower Co. So, you may know her professional personality.
If you are a fellow Lancaster area wedding vendor, you may know her behind the scenes personality. Both are quite exquisitely complicated and so much fun.
Now, if you know Nadine in any type of personal way, you know this only scratches the surface. Nadine is a complex, fun-loving, brutally honest, devotedly faithful, hard-working, super smart, tell-it-like-it-is kinda girl….and I love her!
To truly know Nadine is to know humanity and heart all wrapped into one. How could anyone possibly understand this delicate flower of a woman? How could anyone possibly break through the thrones that protect her delicate soul?
I’m here to tell ya: It happened. Zack swiped right. Nadine deleted him. Zack contacted her on Instagram…Nadine put up her wall of safety. Zack persisted….and here we are today.
You see, Zack understands her. He saw through it all and now…they’re engaged to be married! Nadine’s cat’s Dina and Alice adore him too….a must in Nadine’s world (their invitations came complete with kitty seals!…I knew it was from her immediately).
Kitty parents already, you know their engagement session had to include the cats. We started in their home on a sunny Sunday afternoon with rain in the forecast and took our time driving to Mount Gretna and then back to Manheim for some industrial photos in yummy golden light.
We had a BLAST!!!! I could listen to Nadine laugh ALL DAY LONG. Zack, not yet fully indoctrinated into the wedding world may not have quite known what he was getting into with an engagement shoot with a wedding florist but all that mattered was…he loves her. So, you see….its quite simple at the end of the day. It’s about loving and understanding each other…where you came from, what you’ve been through and where you want to go together from here on out. And, they’ve got that part down (they also nailed their photos).
Nadine and Zack will be married THIS November at Warehouses 435 and I cannot wait to meet the intimate list of guests involved in this wedding day. It is going to be an emotional day!
Nadine and Zack, I can’t even begin to tell you just how honored I am to be the one to be holding the camera on your big day. I am bouncing in excitement and I can’t wait to see all the ways you both keep to traditions and stray from the norm on your best day ever. Just so you know, I’m 100% going to cry so….
