Tom delicately held up a small strip of plastic between the fingers of his right hand, with the mic in his left, as he addressed those gathered for his daughter’s wedding day. The strip of plastic had once been a ring around his precious daughter’s wrist in the hospital on the day she was born. It still curled and bounced slightly after being cut from her wrist upon discharge to the care of her adoring parents those years ago.

Tom continued with tears welling in his eyes, “Now, she wears another band, and we are so happy to welcome Terrell to our family. They truly are meant to be together.”

As a pediatric cardiac ICU nurse, Maureen felt the hospital's significance deeply as her father spoke those words and blessed her marriage, which had begun only an hour earlier on Saturday.

It was a joyous day despite the misty rain and cool spring temperatures. I had messaged Maureen last week to ask how they were feeling, and, pointing out the forecast, she said, “We knew what we were getting into with a spring wedding. We’re ready!” And they were. When I greeted Terrell in his beautiful room at River House at Odette’s, the guys were already dressed and ready to go! I was so impressed with them. The guys are never ready that early!

As for the rest of the day, it felt like a reunion from her sister’s wedding in 2023 for us vendors. The family was so pleased with the services they received at Mary Katherine and Mike’s wedding at The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm that they hired us all back!

Given the drizzly weather, we had to get creative in Odette’s indoor spaces, which turned out to be incredibly fun. Thank you to all the restaurant and bar guests who made space for us to take their portraits. I’m very grateful! See the photos below.

The food was delicious. The music by the Renaissance Orchestra was out of this world, as always, and a party was enjoyed by all! It was my first time in New Hope, PA, and I will definitely return to explore as a tourist. What a neat town! I bet the guests enjoyed exploring it.

Maureen and Terrell, your calm and go-with-the-flow energy was truly appreciated. I still get butterflies thinking back on your day. Reviewing the images was such a special treat.
