A Studio Engagement Shoot at The Candy Factory | Lauryn + Josh | February 5, 2023
“I came home from college and all the sudden he had facial hair and was dressing in black and…”
With her fingertips gently folded together, Lauryn squeezed her elbows into her sides. When she drew in her breath her shoulders, padded in her white jacket, moved up almost to her cheeks which were peaked in a knowing smile.
…“Oh my!”
A shudder melted her shoulders back down her back, as she giggled looking down to the right — then stole a glance at Josh.
I followed her gaze to her fiancé. A huge grin had spread across Josh’s face and he seemed to have grown another two inches. Lauryn’s left hand reached across her body habitually and held her right forearm as she rocked back-and-forth on her heels. The glittery, emerald cut diamond on her finger glinted in the studio lights as her lashes batted at him like a magic spell.
Josh gave a shrug as his dark eyes followed his fiancé’s movements with adoration. “I grew up!”
Their’s is the love of two people who have grown up alongside each other only finding out they were meant for forever after reaching adulthood. They know each other better than most know each other at this stage of life. Their families and church communities are already acquainted…a true blessing for all.
Their engagement session was my first couples shoot using my new space for Lancaster Photography School in The Candy Factory’s SO Good Studio. I’d guess it won’t be my last! I couldn’t be more pleased with how it all came together.
Lauryn and Josh will be married at Josh’s childhood home at The Barn at Stoneybrooke in June of this year. And, because I already know most of their family and friends, I KNOW it’s going to be an amazingly special wedding day. I simply cannot wait!
Lauryn and Josh, thank you for trying something new with me. It was so fun to stretch myself to do this for you. I love that you came up with it all yourself! It was a good 50 degrees warmer than the original plan too….good choice! I hope you love this little sample of photos from your Candy Factory studio engagement shoot with me. And, because I know how hard it is to wait, there will be a surprise in your inbox later today. So, don’t forget to check!
