A January Tree Farm Engagement Session | Katie + Michael
We went to the wrong house. Yes, that’s right. We not only went to the wrong house but did the whole session there! Their session was full of life. Even with the rain…it was deliciously beautiful. The trees dripped with desire for more. The mountain loomed ever present like the future waiting to be recognized. The wispy grasses swayed and sang to us as the wind whispered its sweet song. And then there was Drake their ADORABLE golden retriever puppy… he was the CUTEST THING EVER!!!!
Everything went perfectly! Then, I got a message from Katie later that evening: “Omg….we were at the wrong house…” 😲How does that even happen? I bet I’ll never have a story like that with another couple ever again…and I love it. We BOTH went to the wrong house, parked at said house and did an ENTIRE session at someone’s private property without anyone saying anything to us! We are thinking we just parked at the wrong house and still used the right tree farm….I’m mean how many people have a tree farm in a one-mile radius, right?! Oh my. 🤦♀️
Well, regardless of the unintentional trespassing, it was magic. For a January session to have temps close to 60 degrees, I’ll take it! The light drizzle allowed us to use the clear umbrellas and that is never a bad thing.Katie and Michael will be married at Harvest View Barn at Hershey Farms in July and I cannot wait to get them in front of my camera again. If their friends and family are anything like them, we are going to have a ton of fun together.
Katie and Michael, you two were ROCKSTARS! I was SO impressed with Drake’s training. And, Michael, how you were willing to work with me even though it was probably the last thing you could have POSSIBLY wanted to do with your Saturday afternoon. It is so evident the love you have for Katie. Katie, you have this smile and twinkle in your eye that is so incredibly endearing, it is IMPOSSIBLE not to adore you. You are kind and sweet and so beautiful inside and out. I’m so happy to be your photographer and I can’t wait to see you both again in July.
