I know it’s the writer’s easy way out to say “I can’t put into words just how great this wedding was…” BUT, I kid you not, I sit here starting at my computer screen and cannot manage to articulate just how amazing not only this wedding day was but how amazing THESE PEOPLE are. I keep scrolling through the images. Classic elegance. Kind gestures. Belly laughs for daaaaays. These images bring me to tears every time.

It may be because, at this point, I know so many of the people involved in the day between other weddings I’ve shot and family sessions for the Mathis family, that I’m too close to the project. I can’t seem to single out a specific moment in the day to dive into their story like I normally do for wedding blogs. I can’t find that one defining moment of the day that so perfectly encapsulates Caroline and Tom as a couple and the day as a whole because I am not willing to leave out the rest. It’s all too important!

I could have started with how Caroline gave out handwritten cards to EVERYONE that made each person cry in gratitude for her friendship on carefully selected cards.

I could have started with how Tom insisted on not only greeting his guests as they arrived but also went out of his way to greet the DJs when they arrived to thank them for being there along with every other vendor that was working on the day.

Or, perhaps, the amazing relationship between each set of the parents and ALL the times Caroline’s dad cried….there were a LOT. :-)

Maybe the specially designed suits for each of the groomsmen.

I literally could go on and on. Ultimately though, it’s all of these things (and SO many more) that make this group of people so very special. I can’t begin to tell you (see there I go again) how much it means that I was able to be the one to capture this day for them. It was the best way to end my wedding season for the year and I’ll be reeling about it for months to come.

The day was about as perfect as they come. Honestly, the pictures speak for themselves. So, without further delay, please enjoy this little sample of photos telling the story of Caroline and Tom’s Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens fall wedding day. Caroline and Tom, can I just say I adore you two?! I’ve never meet two people who can be so classy and lovely and yet also so very fun and relatable at the same time. You have a gift and I don’t doubt that it’s partly due to your personalities combined that have made this possible. You compliment each other in every way.

Caroline, I can see by the way Tom laughs with you that you bring so much joy to his life and everyone you meet.
Tom, wow. What a catch you got in the sweetest girl on the planet! All jokes aside, if I had to pick a perfect representation of how I want my boys to grow up to be…it’s you. You hold yourself with such poise but conduct yourself with a caring heart. You are a true gem.
