Becca + Chris’s Sunny Spring Wolf’s Hollow Engagement

Becca-Chris-Engaged_0046.jpg

Becca is a large animal veterinary technician and Chris is a mechanic with Amtrak and together they are simply the sweetest humans on the planet. Chris, like me, can’t kill a spider and Becca, also like me, is a horse lover and people person. Becca has this smile that I swear could brighten the skies of the darkest of days. They are genuine, kind and caring people and I am so lucky to have the opportunity to photograph them. They will be married in July at Pond View Farm in White Hall, MD and since I photographed Becca’s sister’s wedding last year and her brother in San Diego earlier this year, I seriously CANNOT WAIT to see everyone again and to meet Chris’s family too. (Kaitlin, once you have that baby, I kind of feel like I must photograph you just to complete the sibling thing I seem to have going on with your family! 😜)

For their session, the weatherman was calling tornado warnings and all around terrible weather later in the day for their engagement session at Wolf’s Hollow County Park in Atglen, PA. Since it was possible for all of us, we decided to move their session up to mid-day before the rain was supposed to hit at 2:00. We met at 12:00 and (of course) the weather kept changing. Now the forecast was full sun with clouds rolling in around 2:00. So, we took our time and stretched out their session as long as we could waiting for some clouds but ultimately, it was 90 degrees outside, Becca was the only smart one who brought water and I had already taken over 1,000 photos of them and there was not a cloud in sight, so we had to call it a wrap. It had been a while since I’d had the challenge of a mid-day, overhead, full sun session. And, it was AWESOME!!!! I know I’m such a geek but it really was amazing to be challenged in such a way with these beautiful people. They humored me good-naturedly and we even got to geek out over Game of Thrones (that we would now be able to see in real time with everyone else since we were doing the session earlier).

It was beautiful. They kissed and snuggled their way into some fun firsts with me (I may or may not have climbed a fence). I got the laying down shot I’ve always wanted….I almost cried it was so perfect. I think I walked my 10,000 steps in their session alone too. And, just so you know, it never rained in Atglen…at all….all night. 😑 I hope you enjoy this sample of my favorites. It really was hard to choose. Their final gallery is going to be ridiculously large.

Becca and Chris, WHAT FUN!!!! You guys are amazing and I LOVE your photos. I hope you love them just as much. I can’t wait to see which ones you choose to put up on your new walls. 🙌🙌🙌Thank you for being so flexible and trusting me. Also, bonus points because you incorporated a flower crown…so awesome. Your wedding day is going to be amazing. I can’t wait to see Chris cry. 😁And, hey, since there’s no more GOT on Sundays (😭😭😭) you can spend your evenings looking at your photos. 👍😘 Remember this is just a sample. Your full gallery will be along in a few days but because I know how hard it is to wait, there are some surprises in your inbox RIGHT NOW so go check!!!

XO - Megan
