A Summer Black and White Wedding at Cameron Estate Inn | Renee + Curtis | July 23, 2022

Not only did Chuck and Michele Taylor gain a son and Mark and Joyce Markosky gain a daughter on Saturday, they all gained an entire new family. It was apparent from the moment I entered the estate and witnessed the interaction between them all that these people were going to be happy to be connected for the rest of their lives.

It was obvious in the way Joyce hugged Renee after she put on her wedding dress and the way Chuck looked at Curtis at the alter as he gave away his daughter. All of that would have been enough but it was especially telling in the speeches.

THE SPEECHES! I will forever call this wedding, The Wedding of the Speeches! There was a speech during the ceremony, upon entrances, after salad, after soup and they were well planned, practiced and all gushed about just how wonderful each side of the families are.
Many newlyweds have to make tough choices about how they will split time or who’s family they will visit this year. I get the feeling that instead of splitting and choosing, the Taylors and Markoskys are just going to get together…join forces. Because together is better.

After having met Renee and Curtis to shoot their engagement session in Annapolis where they first made a home together, I watched come to fruition exactly what I had expected to see on their wedding day: Not only do all their people adore them but they were SO MUCH FUN too! There couldn’t have been a more kind-hearted, fun-spirited group of people. And, have fun, they did!

The day was especially relaxed and stress free having the run of the entire property and Inn…ALL day. They had the pick of rooms and spaces for ceremony and reception. Ultimately, they chose the Carriage House to party for their large crowd. We all had fun for this unorthodox reception. The couple took the microphone and introduced the wedding party themselves. The parents danced with their kids before the husband and wife dance. Food and guest experience was the paramount consideration. Almost everything went against the typical order of events of a wedding reception. People were fed and entertained the entire evening. It was a wonderful day from start to finish when Curtis scooped up his bride and carried her away.

An absolute gem of a day….just like the couple.

Renee and Curtis, gahhhh! What a day!!! You two have such big, kind hearts. I love how you considered everyone else on your best day ever. You really do love your people and it shows. Anyone would be lucky to know you much less to call you friend or family. Everyone, myself included, invited to your special day is incredibly lucky to have the honor of knowing you. Thank you for choosing me and my team to capture your day. I adore you! I hope you love this little sample of photos telling the story of your wedding day. And, because I know how hard it is to wait, there will be a surprise in your inbox later today so don’t forget to check!
