A Spring Wedding at The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm| Mary Katherine + Michael | May 28,2023
In all my years attending Catholic Mass and CCD, I’ve never once seen a priest nervous to speak to a congregation. I don’t know if I would say that Mary Katherine’s godfather was truly nervous but Monsignor Tracy did open their ceremony discussing how intimidating it was to preach to a group of people with as much, if not more, catholic schooling than he might has. Many of the wedding party met either in catholic school as kids or at some point beyond during one of their many years down a long, scholarly road. Tradition, faith and a love of learning are deeply rooted in their hearts and it shows in their kind manners and appreciation of life. I have to admit, writing for that same crowd, I’m feeling some of the same pressure myself that I hadn’t anticipated!
In Tom’s speech at the reception, he told the story of how, after many years of an all-girls catholic school, his daughter was worried about what it would be like to go to school with boys. Meeting her future husband the first week of college at Scranton, I think we can all say, she did pretty well for herself!
This day was the epitome of elegance, grace and fun from the morning getting ready at The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm, to the late night party with the Renaissance Orchestra in the reception space. And, I have to say, dinner was exceptional. Hands down an excellent day!
MK and Mike, I can’t thank you enough for choosing me to be the one to capture your beautiful day. You truly have the kindest hearts and the most brilliant, genuine smiles. You are going to spread so much love and healing as doctors throughout your lives. Everyone you meet is blessed to know you.
I hope you love this little sample of photos telling the story of your amazing wedding day. And, because I know how hard it is to wait, there will be a surprise in your inbox later this evening. So, don’t forget to check!
