Two are better than one. This was the essence of the scripture verse Jacqueline and Richard chose to be read at their wedding ceremony. Pastor Mark elaborated better than I ever could but this unconventional scripture selection really struck me. While marriage definitely can be sweet and loving and passionate and fun, the reality most of the time is that it’s a partnership between two people to come together better and stronger than they ever could be apart. I really admire them that they are able to see that truth in this “honeymoon” stage of their lives. It shows really character.

Both Jacqueline and Richard come from beautiful families — kind and wise beyond measure. People with the insight to choose that verse, obviously have had some solid upbringing. In fact, it was their parents who brought them together in the first place!

While it’s fun to talk about how I met them — the news story and that I got to be their wedding photographer due to that fateful day — what I’m most happy about is that I had the opportunity to meet all of these amazing people along the way. And, yes, just like everyone kept saying….it was about time!!!! After 3 years of waiting to make this day happen, it was definitely worth the wait for everyone involved. Everything was perfection from the makeup and hair being right on time to the spectacular service at Penn Oaks Golf Club up until the very last moment. It was a fairytale day that I’ll never forget and I’m sure the many guest won’t either.

Jacqueline and Ricky, what an honor it was to serve you and your loved ones on your best day ever. Thank you for trusting in a photographer that happened by on your proposal and tracked you down with social media. Thank you for working together to reschedule so that I could be there with you on Saturday this year. And, thank you for the unending generosity you have with your kindness.
