“Hi Megan, Amanda doesn’t know I’m emailing you but….”

“Hi Megan, I’m reaching out to you without Mike knowing…”

I’m not exactly sure those are direct quotes but the idea remains. BOTH Amanda and Mike reached out to me prior to their wedding day, prior to new COVID-19 mandates, to let me in on more of their story so that I would have a full picture of just how amazing the other is.

I love them.

Each is so humble. Each is so full of love.

If there was anyone in the world more deserving of a dream wedding day, it’s these two. They have been through more in the past few years than many will in their lifetime and after rescheduling twice, the last time just a week before the NEW big day, they decided to go through with a micro ceremony on that day while still following the mandates and recommendations. They were gracious and kind as ever even if it wasn’t the original vision they had of their wedding day.

In the end, all those amazing things each of them said about the other in those “secret” emails came out on this amazing day and they are now husband and wife. I couldn’t be happier for them and their families.

Yes, we are doing it “all over again” exactly one year later for the biggest anniversary party EVER but this day…their true wedding day is documented forever and I’m so happy I was able to be there with them. And, as they said themselves, this just means we get to stay in close contact for another year! Ha! The reality is that I’m going to stay in contact with them forever but it sounds good! They were lucky enough to secure ALL…each and every one…of their original vendors for their day next year and I CAN’T WAIT to see them again! Amanda and Mike, what to say. I just adore you and I am so very happy for you that this was able to happen and in such a meaningful way. We went from 5 of us standing in the field for the ceremony to this amazing micro production. I am in awe of how everyone came together for you. Don’t ever lose that which makes you so sweet and caring. When I think of the kind of people I want to raise my kids to be, people like you come to mind. I’m so honored to know you and so very happy to be your photographer and friend. You are so very much a part of the family and I wish you an amazing first year of marriage until I see you again next year. Sending all the love!
