Michelle + Chris’s Winter Allenberry Resort Engagement Session
I’m not a prop kind of photographer. Michelle is not the prop kind of bride. We bonded over this when we met. THEN….they decided to bring Chris’s 1962 Chevy Impala…and we each put our foot in our mouth. If you’re going to bring a prop, a classic car is probably at the top of my “let’s do this” list….with flowers of course. Especially when it’s powder blue. 💙 How perfect. Chris owns a car dealership so it was so him to use a car to start off their session. Michelle is a teacher and I can’t wait to hear what her students have to say about her engagement photos!
The river was high from all the rain the day before making it full of life and energy. Luckily, Allenberry Resort in Boiling Springs, PA has walking paths throughout the majority of their property making the wet ground less problematic as it could have been after so much rain. It wasn’t nearly as cold as it could have been for a Pennsylvania, January engagement session. And, for that, we were all grateful.We used the entirety of the property, imagining their wedding day later this year as we went. If anyone is unsure of a location for their engagement session, using your wedding venue is always a wonderful idea. It gives you one more chance to have photos taken there and we can talk about the logistics of the day as we go. PERFECT! I was honestly so impressed with everything this venue had ON PROPERTY for not only the wedding party but for the guests as well. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding there! Plus, there is a restaurant on property, open year-round to the public!
Michelle and Chris, you two were so much fun to be around. Chris, your humor made it so easy to like you and work with you. You totally killed it the entire session. Michelle, you are the perfect woman for Chris. You are so kind and sweet and laugh at all of his jokes….I bet your students love you to pieces. Your wedding day is going to be so special.
