He took his wife’s hand as the dance floor cleared. Ben looked intently into Christina’s eyes and lead her confidently to the dance floor. When they reached the center, he immediately spun her around. She laughed wildly, eyes glinting with happiness at her husband as her gown twirled around her. One hand cupped hers, the other guided her hips as they moved lightly around the dance floor in an impromptu ballroom dance dashed with saucy Latin moves. Christina’s dress grazed the floor sweeping side to side. As their first dance ended, Ben dipped his new bride for the most dramatic first dance kiss I have ever seen.

Dancing! All the dancing! Not only could Christina and Ben dance with style but her parents could too. All week I’ve been trying to talk Marc into taking dance lessons and have been talking about this wedding day. Not only was it a unique venue with fantastic vendors styled to perfection but the PEOPLE involved were all so lovely.

After their grand entrance, Christina and Ben invited everyone to join them for three first dances. All the laughter, the joy and love. Family and friends came from near and far to bear witness to this union of souls. Christina’s medical school friend’s were there. Ben’s pals from childhood livened things up throughout the day. Christina’s childhood neighbor friend even officiated the ceremony. It was perfect…hot….yes, that too. The heat index for the day was 115 I was told later. But it was wonderful just the way it was. We all enjoyed air conditioning of the Free Library’s Skyline room and strolled the rooftop at our leisure (a last-minute change that I think everyone was grateful for).

Christina was the best at really living every moment of her wedding day. She took the time to let it all sink in and to FEEL it all. Ben doted on his bride every moment he could. Smitten is the best word to describe his love for her as a bystander. When I see the way he looks at her, I know she will be taken care of her entire life. He kept stealing pecking cheek kisses all day and I wasn’t surprised since he did this throughout their entire engagement session as well even though that day he had a terrible cold and it was freezing. I can safely say that from one extreme to another, their love is alive in every part of their lives. I am so happy that they get to go home to each other every day for the rest of their lives.

The beautiful florals, the masterfully cooked dishes artfully displayed, the music, service, and who can forget the ice cream…it was a day I won’t soon forget and I know Christina and Ben will cherish forever. I hope you all enjoy this sample of my favorites from each moment of this amazing day. Grab a snack…there are a lot.

Christina and Ben, what to say but thank you for choosing me to be there with you to capture this day of all days in your lives. I love every part of both of you. You have the most amazing lives I love watching unfold alongside your amazing family and friends. Everything about you two is so beautifully true to you and the lives you dream up for no one else but you. I admire the way you know which details mean the most and which to let go. You know how to focus on what is important to you…something many struggle with. Okay, enough words, you should already know by now how much I adore you so take some time, order some fancy, Instagram worthy food and wine (😜😘) and take a stroll back through your wedding day. I hope you enjoy seeing all of those moments you remember and some more you couldn’t be present for. And, once you are done, because I know how hard it is to wait, there is a surprise waiting for you in your inbox. Enjoy!
