Katie + Jon’s Sweet Hershey Engagement

SPRING! Spring has sprung and it feels oh so good. Katie asked me months and months ago after she and Jon booked me for their September wedding at Lodge at Liberty Forge in Mechanicsburg, PA if they should wait until spring for their engagement session. While it can be a tough call since my schedule starts getting crazy this time of year, ultimately, we decided to wait so that we would be able to relax in nice weather a bit more. I think Katie and Jon will agree that it was worth the wait. It was refreshing to wear shorts and flip flops for a session again. My toes are happy and there is finally some color creeping back into our world.

Their session began at Jon’s family’s private residence on a magnificent property overlooking scenic Pennsylvania landscape. After loosing Jon's grandfather and inheriting his tractor, Jon and his father refurbished it to pristine condition in his memory. It was a no brainer to incorporate it into a few shots for him. We took our time, enjoying the beautiful weather and endless location possibilities in our first location before heading over to Milton Hershey School’s Founders Hall where we took in the beautiful architecture and capitalized on the magnificent sunset color and grandeur on their public walking trails.

With three wardrobe changes and so many location options their gallery is going to be rather large and so are their highlights. Enjoy!

Katie and Jon, we sure lucked out with weather! I hope you had as much fun as I did. You two are so kind and loving. It was great to meet Jon’s mom and dad and I can’t wait to meet everyone else on your wedding day in September! I hope you enjoy this preview of photos from your session on Saturday. And, because I know how hard it is to wait, there are some surprises in your inbox RIGHT NOW so go check!

XO – Megan
