Four Times Blessed in Lancaster, PA

Lancaster, PA Maternity -17.jpg

It was a lazy June evening in Lancaster, PA. Finn was in bed. Andrew and Isaac were watching TV upstairs. Marc and I were cuddled on the couch downstairs for the first time in months. The smell of popcorn lingered in the air. A movie played as my mind raced. What would he say? How would he react? Should I wait for a more perfect moment and keep it to myself for a few days?

Marc laughed at something on the screen. It shook me out of my reverie. I used that moment to let out a little nervous laughter and whispered in his ear, “Guess what.” He turned to look at me finally sensing my tension. No turning back now.

“I’m pregnant.”

He broke into a smile. “Are you serious?” His smile got even bigger and he kissed my forehead. All of my worries melted away. We spent the evening letting the movie play in the background as we quietly reveled in our excitement. A little secret just for us for a few weeks.

Now, more than 5 months later, our news is out there for the world to know. We are so excited to be welcoming a 4th child into our home in 3 months. With 3 boys already, we are pretty excited to mix things up a with a little girl. I can’t stop seeing tutus, headbands and dresses every time she kicks. 😊 She is so blessed to be entering a family with so much love to share.

This week, Marc and I decided to be the ones on the receiving side of a photoshoot. We (well I) got pampered by Shades of Blush Studios, WB Upstyles, Petals with Style and we stepped in front of Juliana Thomlinson Photography’s camera at Ironstone Ranch where Marc and I said “I do.” The photos here were the product of my need to take a few for myself in my backyard but not the final product. I absolutely CANNOT wait to see what Juliana was able to create for us on location. Not much makes me happier than to have joyful photos of Marc and I together to show our kids and our grandkids one day. The photos will stand as a visual representation of how happy Marc and I are to be the parents of our amazing children and how lucky we are to be four times blessed.
